Bingwa is the host of Breakfast with Bongani Bingwa on 702. He started as a news anchor and progressed to hosting his own show – Talk at Nine. He has interviewed high-profile personalities like politicians, thought leaders, celebrities, and high flyers.

Early Life
Bongani Bingwa was born on 1 September 1974 in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. He grew up listening to the radio for news and entertainment. As a teenager, he became obsessed with Radio Metro, Radio Bop, and Radio 5.
The radio personality moved to Gauteng when he was 12 years old. His interest in radio was because people wanted to make sense of the world.

The SABC signed him to replace Peter Ndoro as its prime-time news co-anchor on SABC News in 2018. According to the public broadcaster,

In 2018, the radio personality was a nominee for two South African Radio Awards in the breakfast show categories. His first year on radio was in 2005 at the community station Radio Today. He has been back on talk radio since 2017.
Bongani has been a journalist and presenter on M-Net’s Carte Blanche for eleven years but has left the current affairs show. He joined Primedia’s 702 radio station for a regular presenter slot in July 2017. His responsibilities were field reporting, script writing, and research on stories.
The presenter has interviewed many high-profile personalities such as Cyril Ramaphosa, Tony Blair, Thabo Mbeki, Al Gore, Rudi Giuliani, Spike Lee, and Graca Machel.
